According to PCSB Superintendent Kevin Hendrick, Hurricane Helene swamped Madeira Beach Fundamental and damaged the electrical system. Mr. Hendrick said, “This is unprecedented. It’s the electrical system that was inundated with seawater. The electrical system is 20 feet from the intercoastal so it’s just going to take a long time to repair.”
During those repairs, Osceola Fundamental High School will host middle school students in the afternoons by holding split shifts. As of now, Osceola students will start their day at 6:25 AM and have lunch at 12:04 PM. MBF students’ days will last from 12:10 PM to 5:10 PM starting on Thursday October 3rd, 2024.
