Sheriff’s Office offers security software
Recently, there has been a recurrence of controversy regarding teenagers online. There has been a range of issues from inappropriate photos to bullying. And as technology advances, it’s hard to figure out what’s safe and what isn’t.
So, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is now offering free software to parents called ComputerCOP. ComputerCOP monitors computer activity and even has a feature that will alert the parent when certain keywords are searched. If you are interested in ComputerCOP, free copies are available at the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Administration Building at 10750 Ulmerton Road, and Largo Sheriff’s North District Station 737 Louden Avenue, Dunedin there is more information here.
