Spring sports are here. Girls flag football tryouts have started at Osceola Fundamental High School. Varsity tryouts were on Monday, 1/27 and Tuesday 1/28. Junior varsity tryouts were on Wednesday, 1/29 and Thursday 1/30.

A returning player, Daniella Buttacavoli, tried out for varsity this year, after previously being on JV. The sophomore plays quarterback and will be starting on varsity in the upcoming 2025 season. Daniella, better known as Dani, is a dual-sport athlete, playing both soccer and flag football. She said, “I enjoy playing because it keeps me in shape and pushes me to do greater things.”

This year, Dani said, “New girls from all grade levels are trying out”. The Warriors first game is on Tuesday, Feburary 18th. The lady Warriors have a packed schedule this year, with a total of 15 games. All are in Florida, but the farthest they travel is to Tallahassee, Florida for a 2-day tournament (varsity only).
