This week, the OFHS track team held its tryouts. Dosens of students will find out the results on whether they will be on the team today, Friday, Janurary 31st. These students and coaches are working hard.
One returning track athlete, Colleen Johansen, said she runs the 800 meter and hopes to get around a 2:45 time.
Mr. Hines, the newest addition to the Coaching team, said, “Basically I want to help people improve. We have a goal to reach PCAC championships.”
A returning track athlete, Kaelyn Edson, said that the intensity ramps up prior to the meet. “I find commitment harder especially a couple of days before a meet,” she said.
Another student that is hoping to join the Osceola Track Team 9th grader Stone Gildner. He stated, “I was previously on the varsity cross country team this past fall season and decided I would challenge myself to continue with track to hopefully keep improving and achieving my goals”.
