The girls’ soccer team had a very successful season, and they recently became district champs, which is a great accomplishment, but they’re not done yet. The team beat River Ridge High School 3-2. Now that they move on to the regional semifinals, excitement is now roaring in for the team and the fans have been supporting since the start of the season. The team now faces Countryside on Friday at 7pm at home.

Julia Griffith, senior, said, “It feels great to be moving on to the regional semifinals because we worked so hard as a team to win and advance to the next round.  This is a high school memory that I will never forget. Many seniors would love to advance as far as possible because they know it will be the last time that they all get to step out on the field together. Many people are so excited for next game including Marissa Randall, 11th grade. She said, “Going to regionals is the farthest we have ever made it, so it is really exciting, I think we have a good chance at getting far in the post season.

With fans behind the girls team, they all hope they go a long way. Chloe Cors said, “Our hard work has paid off this season, and it’s great that the team has bonded along the way. We have many seniors this year, and it is nice to see many underclassmen get in and work hard for the team.”
