On Monday, January 13th, Clemson and LSU went head-to-head to compete for the national championship. It was an competitive game, with both teams firing back at each other for four quarters. In the end, the LSU tigers came up with the victory, with the score of 25-42. There were many conversations on who was expected to win and who was the underdog. Ivan Brown, 9th grade, said,” Yes, I was really surprised with the turnout. I really thought Clemson was going to win, but LSU’s quarterback was running all over Clemson defense.” LSU quarterback Joe Burrow had an absolutely fantastic game with 463 passing yards and 5 touchdowns. Tyler Leis, 11th grade, said,” I wasn’t surprised at all that LSU won because they were ranked number one and was dominating everyone all season.” There are still many opinions going around about who should have won, but in the end, LSU are the champions.
