New leaders hoping to succeed seniors

Spring Football is underway, and fans around the school are wondering what they can expect form the team. With the graduating seniors long gone, it’s time for the returning sophomores and juniors to take the helm and lead the team. Last year the graduating seniors voted for who they believed were strongest to be team Captains. The players voted were Sophomores Jaden Celeste and Jake Annand, and Juniors Jorge Diaz and Denver Zupan.

This season the team has openings on both offense and defense left by the graduating seniors. Jake Annand believes the offensive line is going to be one of the major positions needed to be filled. “Last year all five starters on the line were seniors, so we are going to have some underclassmen step up and play a big part for the team,” he said. However the team still has a positive outlook on the upcoming season. “We kick off the season against Seminole, so if we win early we can keep the momentum and have a great season.
