The Flag Football season is underway. Unfortunately, a few of the coaches from last year have moved to a different school. The new coaches this year are Ms. Crumpacker (varsity head coach) and Ms. Copello (junior varsity head coach).  Both of the teams played their first game against Northeast this past Wednesday, and coincidentally some of the old coaches now work with Northeast’s flag football team. Ms.Crumpacker explained, “Of course there was some nervousness!” towards the first game. Since the old coaches were familiar with Osceola’s plays, it caused some nerve-racking emotion to run throughout the team. Fortunately, both varsity and junior varsity won their games. Junior varsity won 20-0 and Varsity with the closer score of 12-6. Kylie Brooks, sophomore, said, “I think we were ready for the game; we practiced really hard”.  This was the only game against this team for the regular season.  Crumpacker stated, “We have great volunteers assisting both teams during practice and games, and it will really help us carry out a successful season”.  Parent volunteers helped at both practice and on game days.  Both Crumpacker and Copello are pleased with the girls’ success in games and practices. If you would like to support the Warrior flag football team, the schedule is located on  Osceola’s calendar.
