Are you the Ultimate Warrior?

Seniors show their school spirit at the Homecoming pep rally last school year.

What does Osceola have a ton of, especially during Homecoming?  School Spirit!  Orange and blue swarm the school as Warriors interact in the multiple activities hosted by Homecoming week which builds up the excitement for the big homecoming football game on Friday night.  While every grade level participates during Spirit week, seniors seem to go above and beyond to really show their school spirit before they graduate later in the year.  Therefore, according to the application on the school website, because of their crazy enthusiasm for school appreciation, seniors have gained the opportunity to become an “Ultimate Warrior”.  The Ultimate Warrior is a spirit ambassador for Osceola, showing off Warrior Pride during home sporting events and pep rallies.  Those who wanted to win the title of Ultimate Warrior had to turn in an application which was on Osceola’s official website or it could have been seen by going through osceolashsnews.com which has a link to the school website as well.  Along with the application, the school site has additional information on what the Ultimate Warrior is and does, like that applicants are required to go to an Ultimate Warrior meeting in the guidance conference room during their lunch period.  Some students, like sophomore Emily Ellingham, “heard it on the news”.  “It” is the Ultimate Warrior final “pageant” competition occurring on October 19th in the auditorium.  The pageant will include three different round that consist of an Interview Question, Talent, and School Spirit that will all be acted out in front of an audience of fellow senior classmen. Warriors are already guessing who the Ultimate Warrior will be. Emily Ellingham said, “I would guess that it would be a senior on the football team if anything”.  The decision of Ultimate Warrior will be made by judges and the first ever Osceola Ultimate Warrior will be announced during the Homecoming game Friday October 21st! Who knows? This role could even become a tradition at Osceola. “If things go well, I think it will be,” stated Ellingham.
