Osceola’s golf team swings their way to victory

The Osceola’s girls’ and boys’ golf season is now over. Here are the outcomes for both teams. The girls’ team went to 44-2 overall for the season and placed second in the Mustang Invitational. The girls also won the girls division of the Vinoy Invitational. In addition, they won the district tournament, regional tournament, and placed third in the State tournament. The Osceola’s girl’s golf team was the highest placing public high school at the state tournament. “These girls have worked very hard and now it has paid off for all of them,” said Coach Hill.

Madison Heideman, one of the girls on the golf team who ranked 11th place overall, said, “Ranking so high made me feel good like all my hard work from practicing played off.” Next year Madison is definitely going to be participating in the Osceola’s golf team again. Madison even has goals that she has set for herself for the next season. “Next year, my goal is to have a team and make it to states!” Madison said that she loved being on the team, and really enjoyed the competition.

Furthermore, the boys’ team went to 17-6 overall for the season. The team won the District tournament and placed 4th at the regional tournament. Both the boys’ and girls’ golf team should “be extremely proud of all the accomplishments they made throughout the year”, said Coach Hill.
