Warrior takes a shot at NBA predictions
With the 2014-2015 National Basketball Association (NBA) season beginning, fans are throwing out questions after a very eventful offseason. First of all, the big three down in South Beach has broken up and a new big three has formed up in Cleveland, Ohio.
LeBron James left the Miami Heat to return home and play for the Cleveland Cavaliers. James will be joined by Mr. Double double himself, Kevin Love, and star forward Kyrie Irving. We will have to wait and see if this new combination of stars will succeed and bring a championship to the city of Cleveland or if they will they struggle and have to wait another year like LeBron did in Miami.
Next of course, is who will win the NBA Title at the end of the season in April.
Senior Max Wilkinson, who was on the Osceola Basketball team last year and plans to play again this year, has some thoughts on the NBA season. “I think that the Cavs will win the NBA finals this year by beating the Dallas Mavericks.” He added, “I think that the Mavericks have a good base and they have made some quality picks in the draft over the years but the new big three will be too much for them to handle.”
A popular question many basketball fans get is, “If you could start a franchise, which player in today’s NBA would you pick?” Max made an interesting choice when picking his number one player. “I would pick Kevin Durant even with LeBron James available.” He added, “LeBron’s ego to me can hurt a team and I think Kevin is a better player.” Max, who believes himself to be a three point shooter models himself after a player that many people might not know about. “I model myself after Klay Thompson (Golden State Warriors) because he is a sharp shooter like me.” In order to get a more in-depth look in at the fresh NBA season go to http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2133271-nba-schedule-2014-15-team-by-team-record-predictions-and-playoff-odds for team record and playoff predictions.
