Ms. Randolph and her students have been busy adding new crops to their garden. This year, they’re growing lettuce, purple beets, and sugar snap peas, providing fresh greens, colorful vegetables, and sweet, crunchy snacks. These quick-growing plants will be ready to harvest soon, giving the students a chance to enjoy the results of their hard work. But not everything in the garden grows fast—Ms. Randolph and her students have also planted pineapples, which take about two years to mature. This long-term project will teach patience and dedication as they care for the plants over time. With a mix of fast-growing veggies and slow-developing fruits, the garden club is learning valuable lessons about nature, responsibility, and the rewards of growing their own food.
