According to The Hindustan Times, on September 18th 2024, the second of four supermoons occurred for this year. Following the first supermoon of this year on August 19th, this second one also triples as not only a supermoon, but also a partial lunar eclipse and harvest moon. The name “Harvest Moon” came from the fact that it helped farmers harvest their summer growing crops with more daylight, or in this case, moonlight.
