On Tuesday August 27th, 2024, Osceola Fundamental Highschool hosted an Open House for all incoming students from 6-8 pm. Teachers allowed their students’ parents/guardians in their classroom and parents learned what to expect throughout the school year. During the Open House, each parent/guardian got their kid’s schedule as they went through each class period. Each period was 12 minutes long of teachers telling how their classroom works and how they grade students’ work. Parents were able to see how their kids’ days go by and learn how the Osceola Fundamental High system works. Parents could ask any questions or concerns to understand the classroom and the teacher more. The parents/guardian could see what each class was like and how far away from their other classes their children have to walk. One parent/guardian was struggling to get to their class, and said, “This place is like a maze.” Parents/guardians had 6 minutes passing time to get to each class in time for the next presentation or discussion the teachers had for the parents. The Osceola Fundamental Highschool provided a map to give help to the parents/guardians to find their way around the school.
