According to Ms. Randolph, the garden club is starting after school on September 4th. Students will be meeting in room 166, at 2:10 after school. During the garden club, “Students are going to be creating raised garden beds, planting a memorial tree in honor of a student, and general beatification around campus.” When asked why students should participate in this club, Ms. Randolph commented that, “To gain ownership in their campus, and to work together, and have fun.” Another fun fact about Graden Club, is that Warriors can bring their own plants to plant around campus! Students in club will research in order for the plants to have the best chance to survive. Although this is only the garden club’s second year operating, they have already made an impact on the campus. “Me and my students did a project out front we mulched 5 yards of mulch last year. We couldn’t do much due to the heat, but this year our goal is to plant a variety of different plants around our campus.” Osceola gardeners have big dreams of making the campus beautiful one plant at a time. When asked for any closing remarks about the garden club, Ms. Randolph said, “Anyone can quickly visit; it is not mandatory every week. I will be providing snacks and good conversations about the environment and how we can protect it.”
