After a long-awaited concert from the OFHS, the Osceola band has an exciting trip planned out for them. They are going to Disney, and they are extremely excited. The seniors in band haven’t had a trip for band, and they finally get the one they were hoping for. Some of the freshmen have done something similar last year, but they agree this is more exciting.
Ben Morgan, a 9th grader who went on the trip last year in middle school, says, “It was fun to go to Disney again and especially with all my friends. We had fun just walking around, eating food, and obviously going on the rides. I’m excited to experience it all again.” But what makes it more exciting is the fact that the band is staying for two days.
According to Ben, “On Friday, we are all going to Epcot to spend time there, then we will spend the night at a hotel, and the next day we go to Magic Kingdom to go to the Disney workshop and more.”
When Ben says Disney workshop, he means that the band will go into a building with their instruments where they will get to play some songs by Disney. Ben thinks the band is going because “Mr. Edwards is probably using this as a fun way to practice our instruments and end the school year off with a fun trip to Disney with all our friends.”
But many think they are doing something this exciting so that the seniors have something to remember about a band trip. The band will be back in time for school on Monday.
