AP exams ensue for students
May 12, 2016
AP Exams are coming to an end May 13th. The first day of exams consisted of AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and AP Psychology.
Most AP Exams for Osceola students are held at St. Pete College’s Seminole campus.
The College Board website provides the full AP Exam schedule including dates and times. The website also provides many resources for students to prepare for their exam. These resources include free response questions, released exams from previous years, study skills, and test taking tips. “Practice tests that mock the AP exams are very helpful because they prepare you with everything from a true testing environment to released test questions from previous years,” said a sophomore and AP World History student.
There are two test-taking sessions for AP exams each day, including a morning session, from 8AM to 12PM and an afternoon session from 12PM to 3 or 4PM. Students who are taking the AP exam, if they have the correct paperwork, do not have to go to school either afterward or prior to their exams, as the absence will be excused.
“Everyone hopes their AP exams work out well, only because if they do not you find that you’ve wasted a school year taking a rigorous course that you didn’t really have to because you won’t be getting the college credit,” said one test-taker.
All AP test scores will be released for students to view this summer in July.
