Erika encroaches on weekend
With Tropical Storm Erika making its way toward Florida this weekend, some people are preparing for the worst. Erika is moving at an average speed of 20mph accompanied by 40mph winds.
Even if this storm doesn’t affect our area, Hurricane Season doesn’t end until November 20th. “I think we’ve had a warm summer and I think we’ll have more storms, hopefully not big ones,” said science teacher Mrs. O’Mara.
Some possible side effects of tropical storms are flooding, high winds, and evacuations. For more information on the storm click Here.
