Warriors get a new view
Hey Warriors, having trouble with getting the morning news on your TV in first period? Have no fear, a solution is here! Share some of these tips with your teachers to be able to get the news on your computer, according to TV teacher Mrs. Rein.
• Go onto the fire fox web browser
• Go to http://vid.pcsb.org
• Click on the VF InStream logo
• Wait for a popup window to appear that says “Do you want to run this application?”
• Click run
• Go over to the list of schools
• Double-click Osceola HS in the list
After that, you’re done and you can view the news throughout the day as well as the morning! The switch is due to a technology change by the county to video furnace, according to Mrs. Rein.
Some students are not having problems with watching through the TV. Ryan Fehr, 10th grade, said “My teacher was able to get (the TV) on just fine.” Another student, Sydney Raines, 10th grade, mentioned “We had no trouble getting it on the TV.” In fact when asked, most students asked actually watched the morning news on their classes’ TVs rather than watching it online. Twenty-two students out of the thirty asked watched it on TV. Most preferred to watch it on their TV, rather than online or on their teachers’ smartboards. Hannah Borries, 9th grade, said “Well the sound’s messed up and fuzzy sometimes on the computer.”
But Mrs. Rein said that video furnace is here to stay, and TV broadcasts may get fuzzier or disappear.
