Osceola’s linemen logistics

The biggest rivalry of the football season is coming up this Friday with the Seminole Warhawks taking on the Osceola Warriors. It’s a match that players like Robert Mitchell, an 11th grader who plays offensive and defensive tackle, has been preparing for all week.

“This game, for both my team and I, will be the glory game of the whole season” said Mitchell. The rivalry between these two evenly matched teams has been around for many years, and is something that both players and students take very seriously. Even after Osceola’s first game that ended as a loss to Robertson last week; the team still has confidence in their skills on the field.

“We got a strong run game that coach has put together, and our ability to execute is the key to success and I think we have that,” said Mitchell. But a rivalry can’t be complete without its die-hard fans that have been there to support the Warrior football players since day one.

“Our student body has been buying Warrior cards and coming to our games; this support definitely gives us the advantage on game day,” said Mitchell. And with all the attention aimed towards Friday night, there is a huge expectation that Osceola will win this game. For the past 3 years the Osceola Warriors have beat the Seminole Warhawks during the regular season football games, and Robert Mitchell definitely expects his team to keep this streak going; “I’ve never lost to Seminole and I’m not about to start losing this Friday. We have to win, and chances are if we play our best we will be victorious.” Students hope that will be the case. The game is on Friday night 7:30 pm at Warrior Stadium!
