This Friday, March 21st, there will be a “prep” rally. This prep rally’s purpose is to shine the spotlight to our school motto: “Academic Success and Warrior Pride.”

According to English teacher Mrs. Herzhauser, since students hear that motto every day, staff members “thought it would be good to recognize students who apply their knowledge in scholarly pursuits like Academic and Robotics teams.”

This prep rally is for all students. “We celebrate athletic success during the Homecoming celebration and throughout the year with trophies and announcements. This rally gives Osceola scholars an equal opportunity to shine,” said Mrs. Herzhauser. This academic celebration will include “recognition of all honor societies, academic teams, outstanding scholars, Boys’ and girls’ state nominees, teacher of the year nominee, and top ten students from all four classes, as well as award-winning student artwork and the ukulele club,” she said.

Herzhauser said the idea is to “celebrate our scholars and their success. Spring is when we start saying good-bye to the seniors and preparing for final tests. Academic scholarship is our primary goal as a school; let’s celebrate it!”
