Students may get a break from tests

It was decided Tuesday by Florida Senate’s education committee that two weeks before and after the states standardized tests are given, students should not take other exams required by their school. Senator John Legg, said during Florida’s annual testing season, other tests should be eliminated two before and two weeks after the states test are taken. According to orlandosentinel.com, “If the law is passed students still have to take exams; it just can’t be two weeks before or after Florida’s standardized testing.” The bill has moved forward and is not yet passed, but if it is students will get a break from testing.
