Lately the amount of snapchat users has risen. According to forbes.com snapchat has approximately 26 million users. Snapchat is a new way to communicate with friends by sending a quick picture. But now users can snapshot the picture sent to them and save it, which might affect some people’s lives if the photos are leaked.

Cbsnews.com shows that 4.6 million phone numbers leaked late last year. After 4.6 million phone numbers were leaked snapchat did apologize according to businessinsider.com, “We are sorry for any problems this issue may have caused you and we really appreciate your patience and support.”

Taylor Schuler, 11^th grade, said she has a snapchat, “It’s fun and most of my friends use it.” Taylor likes using snapchat. “I know people can take a snapshot of my picture that I send to them but that doesn’t bother me. I know a lot of people that use snapchat. I use it every day.” Taylor didn’t know that 4.6 million phone numbers were leaked onto the internet but it doesn’t bother her. “I still continue to use snapchat every day.”

Another Warrior, Tara Vincent, 11^th grade, said she likes snapchat so she can see her friends’ funny faces. “I know people can snapshot my pictures that I send to them but it doesn’t really make me uncomfortable. I know a lot of people that use snapchat.” Tara also said she uses snapchat every day. “I didn’t know that 4.6 million phone numbers were leaked but it doesn’t bother me.”
