Star studded show

Osceola drama students will soon take on roles in an all-female drama called Steel Magnolias. The play also has a healthy dose of comedy. Steel Magnolias takes place in the south and tells the story of women opening up a beauty salon and surviving many different struggles in their lives.
Mrs. Schellhause, drama teacher, said, “I expect all the casts to have a dynamic and also a strong performance with good southern accents; I also expect the people that are auditioning for the play (to have) strong commitment and hard work. Auditioning for a play is just as hard as trying out for a sports team.”
Students have their work cut out for them.
Mrs. Schellhause, said, “I made no changes to the play from the original version; the only thing that is different is that there are men in the movie and none in the play.”
Students that are interested can get their shot on stage Thursday, January 23rd. Students must prepare a 2 minute monologue from a published play.
