Warriors said they would donate to charity
Cars, computers, new cell phones. What would you buy with a million dollars? Lindsey Albright, 11th grade, said if she had a million dollars she would “pay off family debt, pay for college, buy a truck and travel.” She said she would also give money to charity while only working part time. “I would feel awesome about myself because I would have a nutritionist and a personal trainer, but I would still have the same morals and beliefs as before. I wouldn’t tell anyone though because I’d be afraid that someone would try to kill me.”
Lars Owens, 11th grade, said he would also pay off family debts and college. “I would quit my job, give money to charity and help my family.” He also said he wouldn’t change as a person and he would keep it on the low. Another OHS Warrior, Megan Finnemore, 11th grade, said she would move to Italy, get a job in Italy, help her family and give some of her money to charity. “I think I would be the same person on the inside, money would only change where I’m living.”
According to theatlantic.com, 21% of teenagers’ money is spent on clothes, and 18% is spent on food. But these three Warriors didn’t mention clothes or food, they want to help their family and charity. Young celebrities that have millions also donate to charity. According to eonline.com, Taylor Swift donated a whopping $4 million to the Country Hall of Fame Museum. Channing Tatum also donated millions for the Rainforest Foundation.
