“Come pick up your French Fries, and throw away your sodas; don’t throw them on the floor, clean up your table.” That’s lunch lady, Mrs. Erma Mckimm. Unfortunately Osceola’s dear Erma is considering retiring sometime in June. She has been with Osceola for 8 years now and she loves her job and the students. For Erma it seems as everything is going downhill for her at this time. “My husband is in the hospital and I’ve been going back and forth to see him, and my car is in the hospital as well.”
If Erma decides to retire, she’s not going to sit around and do nothing; the spunky red head said she loves to help others. “I’ll do some advertisement thing or I’ll help out with people who have Alzheimer’s. I’ll probably do something 3 times a week.”
Just as Erma will miss the students, the students will miss her too.
Christina Maguire, 12th grade, said, “Yes I will miss her, she just brings a smile to my face saying ‘Hello. Good morning’.”
Shawn Ladd, 12th grade, said, “I will miss her; it started my junior year when I started flirting with her, I just like to joke around with her.”
