Florida Schools have become the fourth highest ranked schools in the country in the category of AP test scores. This is a large leap forward from last year’s sixth place. “A lot is the training and professional development and training for the best AP curriculum.” Principal Bohnet explained, “We’ve become more directed on students being college ready. We have a laser like focus on AP testing and our state is paying more attention to AP classes.”
“PSAT evaluation classes show where students will be successful- so we don’t tell them what to do, we guide them to what they want to do. Under this system students could be more successful.” Mrs. Campbell, the Assistant Principal explained, “Florida teachers – especially those in Pinellas County – have been collaborating with each other and working on different teaching methods that may work better for the students.
