Do you ever stop at a red light and it feels like it is taking forever? Imagine waiting five times as long to just get out of the student parking lot after school. The reason for the long wait to get out of the parking lot is because some students in lanes designed only to turn right or only to turn left choose to turn the wrong way. It can back up the car line pretty badly when a lot of people try and turn the wrong way. Nikki Cramer, 10th grade, said, “I always see people who turns the wrong way when leaving the parking lot and it makes everything go a lot slower when I’m trying to leave.” When students turn the wrong way it takes longer for them to get a chance to pull out when there are no cars in their way. Nikki added, “It’s hard to get out of the parking lot some times. It can get really backed up after school when they turn the wrong way.” Principal Bohnet said, “We are aware of the issue with people turning the wrong way.” He said, “We are working on ways to stop this.” Administration has been working on ways to fix this problem with the student parking lot and students have opinions too. Nikki thinks there’s only one answer to the problem, “The no turn rules need to be enforced.” Principal Bohnet said, “Put some barricades up,” about what admiration is doing to help resolve the problem.
