Do you love to eat sweets like chocolate? Or want to help out a fellow student with financing a trip? If you do then find a Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) member, because they have been selling chocolate bars. The chocolate bars come in a few different flavors like milk, caramel, and almond. They are just one dollar a piece. They have been selling chocolate bars to help fundraise for part of their trip to go to the states championship, if they can make it to that level. Sofia Mayorga, 10th grade, said, “We need money to fundraise field trips and other expenses.” Jessica Gonsalves, secretary of FBLA, said, “It costs money to go to states and selling chocolate is a great way to raise money.” Jessica also said, “Everyone loves chocolate; I think this fundraiser is one of the easiest ways to get kids to want to help us out.” Selling the chocolate has been going well for students in FBLA and Sofia said, “I think sales have been going amazing! We’ve sold close to all of our chocolate.” FBLA started competing on the 6th of February, at school, and students are also competing on the 7th, outside of school. Students have been working hard to prepare for their presentations and studying hard for their tests. They are also eager to see how they will do and are very excited. Sofia said, “I’m actually really excited to compete and it should be lots of fun and it gets us out of school.”
