The old cliché “practice makes perfect” may be used, but that doesn’t mean it’s not true, at least for Osceola Girls Volleyball player Hayley Misewich. Hayley and three other Warrior volleyball teammates were named to the All-Pinellas county volleyball team. Hayley was named to the 1st team county players, meaning she will be among the best high school volleyball players Pinellas County has to offer. “It’s an honor,” said Hayley, who feels good about being nominated to the all-county team. It wasn’t easy making it to the team though, and it required a lot of work to get there. During the volleyball season, they were busy with volleyball practice and volleyball games. “We practiced about two hours every day after school,” said Hayley, who enjoyed the practices and games. The practice paid off for the lady warriors, who played so well this season that they made it to the playoffs for only the 3rd time in school history.
Hayley’s success on the volleyball court has been noticed by others as well. She was voted on to the All-Pinellas county volleyball by opposing coaches from around the county. Also, she has intentions to play volleyball at the collegiate level. Hayley, a junior, has received interest from Florida Gulf Coast University and Weber College. She still has time to receive other offers, considering that she still has her senior year to play.
Hayley isn’t the only Lady Warrior on the All-Pinellas team. Katie Newman was also named to the st team, Jennifer K. was named to the 2nd team, and Emily Barton was an honorable mention.
