Leaked spoiler information confirms that the Oracle team is secretly working on the 2013 Oracle. The senior editors: Samantha May, Laura Douglass, and Jesse Pierson of the Oracle were willing to give a brief sneak preview of the new Oracle. Surprisingly, it has to follow a new set of guidelines.
“We have a theme from FSPA that we are forced to follow. It’s fun and it’s a challenge but I won’t say what the theme is,” said Douglass.
Creative artwork and thought-provoking stories are big components of the Oracle. Many students such as May, who have been on the staff all 4 years of high school, have witnessed the Oracle grow and become more elaborate every issue.
“The quality of the Oracle has changed a lot. The artwork and writing has become better since the 1st Oracle. Mr. Stewart has all 30,” said May.
The Oracle is ahead of schedule as the staff that was once 20 students has doubled to a class of about 40, and as a result, the Oracle staff completes much more in a shorter amount of time.
“We have grown a lot over the years. It’s almost doubled, growing from 20 to 40. So we can get a lot of work done,” said Pierson.
“We have 7 layouts currently done,” said Douglass.
The students on Oracle have a relatively flexible schedule as the 2013 Oracle isn’t expected to be completed until the end of the school year.
“It’s expected to be completed around May,” said May.
Students have all year up to the deadline of winter break to submit their work. Warriors still have a chance to send in their: stories, art, music, prose, and poetry to the Oracle email at [email protected].
