Are you looking for a cheap date or just want to go out with friends for under 5 dollars? Sharon Wynne      will be at the great American teacher -in which is scheduled for Thursday November 15th.  Wynne writes the “5 things to do under 5 “column for the Tampa Bay Times. So far, about 12 other people have confirmed, including Robert Bingham, Lindel Bright, and Keith Walter.

Actuary Robert Bingham will attend math teacher Mr.Ziesenheim’s class.

Mr. Ziesenheim said, “The actuarial science field deals with concepts learned in Statistics and Probability. It is basically the “when would we ever need to use this” of my AP class. It is a profession that not a lot of people know about so the hope is that he can expose it to some students who enjoy the concepts in my class.”

Only about a dozen have confirmed coming to visit Osceola High school on American Teach-In. One teacher feels the new volunteer rquirements kept him from participating this year.

Economics teacher Mr. Mabe said, “ Because of the background checks, I even have to get one I can’t stay after school with kids now until I get one. I wanted to invite my friend and he is a cop but he can’t because he needs a background check. He is a cop for crying out loud. It’s just too much.”
