What would you do if you had a million dollars?
May 20th every year is ‘Be a Millionaire Day’, at least according to some fun questionable websites like HolidayInsights.com. One can assume that this day is a holiday that is meant to be an opportunity for people to reflect on what they would do if they had a million dollars. Then folks have the opportunity to plan their future and set goals in case the unlikely event occurred.
So what would Warriors do with a million dollars? Austin, 10th grade, said, “I would donate most of the money to a charity that is working towards finding a cure for cancer.” Another student who would use the money to help others is Mariana P., 10th grade, who said, “I would donate the money to several charities so that all of them get a lot of money so that they can help lots of people with it.”
More specific plans came from another sophomore. Bhumi, 10th grade, said, “If I had a million dollars, I would make a shelter for homeless people and give food and education to the unprivileged.”
While some students plan on spending a million on finding a cure, others would use it for an enjoyable journey. Zoie, 11th grade, said, “I would save 75% of it and spend the rest on traveling around the world.”
Other students would spend the money on other categories such as real estate. Alyssa Cunningham, 10th grade, said, “I would buy a mansion and an expensive car.” Madison Hansen, 10th grade, said, “I would buy a better car and get another dog.”
