Osceola’s Warrior Record staff members are scrambling together in order to put out their last edition of the 2012-2013 school year.
“This has been, by far, the hardest paper we have put out because we packed it with so much information and news. Right now we’re trying to put everything together; there were a few page layout mishaps that are being fixed. The paper should be out (uploaded to the printer) in about fifteen minutes,” commented Morgan Reitz, Editor-In-Chief. “All my editors are doing a great job!” she added.
“We were kind of thrown into the story at the last minute to help with final details,” said Katie Wickman, staff writer. Wickman, along with four other staff members, worked on the very tedious construction story. Another staff writer, Mariko Thompson, said, “I actually didn’t have to write a story; I had a satirical cartoon for Bright Futures, which was little bit of a relief, and it was definitely something different from a normal newspaper story. But I was still a little stressed out about it, pretty much because no one got the satirical reference in my starting drafts and honestly I believe that the first one was actually better than the final project, but I’m not the editor.”
This last edition of the 2012-2013 school year features everything from news, college tips, and even a mini koala hanging from a teacher’s beard. Distribution will be sometime next week, during first period, be sure to grab one!
