Schuck jumping to journalism at Dunedin

After teaching Warriors for almost 3 years and a career total of 26, Ms. Schuck’s love for Journalism and hopes of bypassing a hectic morning commute have detoured her away from Osceola.

Schuck who teaches English and composition to juniors, will be teaching Language Arts as well at Dunedin. She feels that the long drive isn’t worth it. “I want to teach journalism at Dunedin High; and Dunedin is almost 8 miles from where I live; Osceola is 24. The morning commute is the only thing I don’t like about Osceola.”

“Part of me doesn’t want to leave but when that little Honda gets on (U.S.) 19, it’s another story,” said Schuck.

At Dunedin, Ms. Schuck plans on continuing her teaching career for a few more years and then retiring.

“(I want) just to teach at Dunedin High and retire, if the world and medical expenses allow me to.”
