Le Cercle Français

Join Mrs. Bogdani and French Club members like Ayden, Courtney, Sydnee, and Olivia and have le temps de votre vie (the time of your life). French club celebrated Valentine’s Day (Le Jour de la Saint-Valentin) on Tuesday January 28th.

During the meetings, students have to use their vocabulary skills. For example, cut up hearts of different sizes and colors contained French Valentine phrases, with a matching one in English. It is the student’s task to pair the hearts and whoever gets the most pairs wins. Later the club members come together to decorate Mrs. Bogdani’s classroom. Then finally the students can eat chocolats (chocolate).

As said by Kelly L. “C’est l’amour!” (French is the language of love). Become a French linguist for a day and impress your lady or guy friend. Learn words like cupidon, un bouquet de roses, mon amour, and un rendez-vous. I bet you can tell what those words mean by just looking at them but you can learn to conjugate and use them in a sentence.

One club officer named Courtney once explained, “Our French club is very successful and will continue to be a great extended branch of learning for current French students and even students that don’t know French.”

If you enjoy or want to learn more about the French way of life come and join the French club at the variety of different meeting dates in room 225. The three next meetings will be on 3/18, 4/15, and 5/20.
